BBC Strictly Come Dancing star in tears as fans demand host is axed and replaced

BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans have demanded one of its presenters is axed and replaced. It Takes Two host Fleur East was joined on the spin-off show by EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick and his pro dancing partner Michelle Tsiakkis.

The pair spoke about their recent exit from the show when the tears began to flow. Jamie and Michelle found themselves in the bottom two and were forced to dance again on Sunday night.

The judges chose to save Pete Wicks and his pro dance partner Jowita Przystal, ending the journey for Jamie just a week before the quarter-final. They joined Fleur to talk about where it went wrong for them - but quickly got emotional.

Jamie and Michelle were shown a fly-through of their Strictly journey, which ended with Michelle crying on Jamie’s shoulder while holding a tissue to dab at her streaming tears. Fleur said, with tears in her eyes: "As an actor, you really know how to put on a show."

Jamie, who was also weepy, stopped Fleur’s question to ask "are you crying as well?". Fleur then admitted: "Yeah because you got me emotional! It really did!"

The pair pointed to their Paso doble as the highlight of their time on Strictly, as Jamie added: "As much as I love the rhumba, I have to say that paso, that was good. I loved that.

"I’ve got a great friend in this one, but everyone who works on the show, and all the people don’t see behind the stage. They’re all absolutely brilliant and I’ve made some really good ones and I’m really pleased about that."

Fans were distraught to see Jamie and Michelle voted off, Express reports. One said: "Watching Michelle cry #ItTakesTwo is making me emotional."

Another commented: "Michelle is breaking my heart. What a gorgeous soul." A third said: "Jamie and Michelle are so sweet. they deserved so much better."

Fans have been impressed with Fleur, with many calling for her to replace Janette Manrara who alternates daily presenting duties. One fan said: "Fleur is an easier watch than janette marara, get rid of janette and have fleur as the presenter #ItTakesTwo"

Another chimed in and said: "Say it again fleur is much better on this than Janette #ItTakesTwo." While a third added: "Oh foff, can't we have Fleur all week please?! #ItTakesTwo"
