Following on from the game's recent PC release, Square Enix has unleashed the Final Fantasy 16 soundtrack on music streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. The score's arrival has been a long time coming, with the action RPG having first launched for PS5 in June of last year.

In our Final Fantasy 16 PS5 review, we heaped praise on the largely orchestral soundtrack, which was composed by the outrageously talented Masayoshi Soken — who's best known for his work on Final Fantasy 14. 16's score is absolutely stuffed with memorable tunes, from emotionally-charged character themes to rousing battle and boss tracks. Outstanding stuff from top to bottom.

About Robert Ramsey

Robert (or Rob if you're lazy) is an assistant editor of Push Square, and has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he's played 'em all. A little too much, some might say.

Awesome. Haven’t renewed Spotify in over a month.

Pure Art
Ascension Is Awesome

Why did it take so long, but god listening to the environment tracks is making want to boot up the game again

The stillwind and great woods themes already feel so nostalgic

I have the whole cd soundtrack but this will be fantastic for convenience!

holy crap! this is 181 songs, over 8 hours! Lot's of environmental and character pieces it seems. Awesome.

@Ranger_River Cascade is a whole nother level

@Yousef- it's also on the square Enix music YouTube channel in its entirety.

Despite everything else, the soundtrack is epic!

@Biolan and Soken managed to compose it while also leading the music for XIV’s various expansions and patches, while battling cancer, while also rearranging XIV tracks for The Primals, while also working on the XIV Blu-Ray soundtracks mastering while also doing live shows.

Man is a machine

Finally! Soundtrack of the generation so far!

All about ‘Away’ for me

I’m 5 hours into the game (started this weekend) and the music is outstanding so far.

I've been really enjoying the guitar and piano covers that have been available on spotify. Also, the artist named Pealeaf does a wonderful version of My Star. Definitely going to check out the official release but these have been great in the meantime.

@Kienda It's about to get a whole lot better if you're only 5 hours in.

Absolutely fantastic soundtrack, easily my soundtrack of last year and its a crime that it didn't get nominated at the game awards. The Titan boss fight music is up there with my favourite pieces of gaming music ever

Love this soundtrack. Even a year later I can't stop myself smiling the biggest smile whenever I hear "To Sail Forbidden Seas". Alongside "Under the Weight" and "Otherworld" it's one of three video game songs I can sing along to.

Opened Spotify right after reading this and... listening to Find the Flame as I type this. Still incredible!

I've been listening to this on Spotify for a month or two now....or perhaps this is an updated version. I'll have to check it out if it is
