ITV I'm A Celebrity's Tulisa halts trial as medics 'rush in' to help campmate in off-camera moment

In a dramatic turn during an episode of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here, medics had to rush into the camp after Tulisa's latest Bushtucker trial took an unexpected turn that viewers didn't see on air. The N-Dubz singer was taking on the challenge named Shock Around The Clock when she was struck by panic, fearing an insect had made its way into her ear.

Facing the trial solo and surrounded by jungle critters, Tulisa was alarmed by the sensation of something moving in her ear canal. Despite the high tension, it has been reported that the producers decided against airing the incident with Tulisa.

An insider revealed to The Sun: "Mid-way through the trial, the show medics rushed in to help. Tulisa was convinced something was in her ear - she wasn't sure if it was a cockroach, cricket, or fly - and had to have a syringe wash. She carried on after that, but she was horrified." ITV has confirmed that a medical professional was called to assist with the minor emergency, confirming that Tulisa underwent a syringe wash before bravely completing the trial.

The 36 year old was chosen by the public to face the trial, and she was determined to give it her all despite not knowing what awaited her. Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, the presenting duo, revealed to Tulisa the details of her challenging task: She would be strapped into a clock-themed device, spun around, and tasked with identifying items from various categories within a minute, all while being covered in a variety of critters.

During her trial on the show, as bugs fell on her, Tulisa repeatedly urged the hosts with the phrase, "Just get it over with! " After completing the challenge, she managed to secure five out of twelve possible stars to bring food back to camp. The pop star admitted afterwards that her mind "just went blank" during the ordeal, reports Plymouth Live.

She explained: "When I was in there my brain just wouldn't function, it just went blank, I was just trying to survive." Tulisa also apologised for forgetting the names of her fellow contestants earlier in the trial, notably struggling to remember Coleen Rooney and Melvin Odoom. Despite her efforts, viewers were unimpressed with what they saw as undue help from presenters Ant and Dec throughout the task.

In a segment featuring the phonetic alphabet, after Tulisa admitted she didn't know it, Ant hinted: "When you get pulled over by the police..." This clue suggested the word 'golf' for 'G'. Dec also gave a discreet hint, saying: "Sport... when you use clubs and a ball."

These clues from Ant and Dec sparked responses from viewers, who voiced their discontent on social media. One audience member grumbled: "Why are Ant and Dec trying to help Tulisa? ! " Another commented in annoyance: "Who's answering the questions in this trial, Ant and Dec or Tulisa?"
