More Calgary businesses selling uninspected meat, AHS finds
Unsanitary conditions also cited by Alberta Health Services at two restaurants
by Hiren Mansukhani · Calgary HeraldAlberta Health Services has issued closure orders for three northeast businesses for selling uninspected meat and unhygienic conditions at their premises.
The three establishments are Bangla Bazar-Butcher Shop, Bombay Meat Masala & Samosa Factory, and Glassy Junction/Bikaner Sweethouse & Restaurant.
Bangla Bazar-Butcher Shop, in the community of Castleridge, was found to have sold uninspected meat, left the meat uncovered on the floor of the walk-in cooler with blood stains on the walls, placed cleaning cloths on food surfaces and maintained poor sanitization of food surfaces.
