Bin collection dates for Christmas 2024: Panda, Oxigen, AES, Thorntons, Clean Ireland

With Christmas Day landing on a Wednesday this year, many bin collectors will be changing their normal pick-up days. Check out how your operator will be impacted here:

Panda
Most collections go ahead, even on a bank holiday. If your collection day is rescheduled they will send you a text message in advance. You can also keep track of any changes to your collection calendar online or through the Panda mobile app.
AES/Bord na Mona
The Bord na Mona website says: “Certain collection dates are changing around the Christmas holidays. Have a look at our easy to understand guide to see what days may change for you. If your collection day does not land on these days, there will be no change to your collection schedule.
“Our Customer Service Centre will operate normal hours with the exception of December 27th, 30th & 31st, when it will be open from 8.30am to 1pm. It is closed on December 25th & 26th and January 1st.
“Note – routes are subject to change, customers on these routes will receive a text update. If you aren’t signed up for Text Alerts, click to sign up here.”

Oxigen
Oxigen has a section on their website for both domestic and commercial Christmas schedules for 2023. It can be found here.
All details concerning your account are contained in the ‘My Oxigen’ portal, including the collection calendar for your area. You can login here.
Thorntons
Household bin collections will operate as per your collection schedule. Please check your calendar for collection days. You can get an online version here.
Clean Ireland
Clean Ireland have set out all the collection dates for bins on their website via their 2024 calendar. You can view them here.
On their website they say: “The only days we don’t collect are Christmas Day and St. Stephen’s Day. Any service disruption will be notified in advance”
