CCTV released of man wanted in connection with Glasgow Central assault

Cops are hunting a man in connection with an assault at Glasgow Central Station.

Transport police have released CCTV images of the man after the incident at the train station on September 5 at around 7pm.

Anyone with information, or who recognises the man, is urged to contact the British Transport Police.

He is described as Asian, in his 20s and approximately 5ft8 with a beard. The man was wearing a light-coloured cap, a light green jacket, light coloured jeans and white trainers.

A spokesperson for the force said: "The man pictured, or anyone who recognises him, is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 2400112153.

"Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
