After the owners took over operation of the Nest in July of 2024, they announced their plans on Friday to temporarily close the restaurant for a major renovation project and rebrand.

On April 1, local businessman Johnny Aantjes took over the popular eatery on Fairview Road. Then the reigns were handed over this summer to Melissa Osiowy when she purchased the business.

"Taking over the restaurant at that time of year definitely created some challenging times for not just us, as owners, but for you, the customers, as well," The Nest said in their social media post.

"We would like to thank you all for your continued support through the summer and into fall as we navigate our way through this new journey."

Sept. 30 was the official closing date for the restaurant, as work began on the renovation project aimed at the dining space and kitchen facilities.

"We are working hard behind the scenes to create a fresh and fun new menu to get everyone’s taste buds jumping," The Nest added.

"We hope you are as excited as we are and want to thank you again for your patience and understanding."

The restaurant added to stay tuned for more information regarding their opening date.
