On Sunday, the “Friends of the Curragh” Irish Cesarewitch will take centre stage

Two days of action at home of flat racing

The Goffs Million, Europe's richest race for juveniles, returns on Saturday 28th September as part of the Curragh’s Autumn Racing Weekend!  Included in a thrilling eight race card, the Glenroyal Hotel Student Derby will also take place on the track.

Off the track, the last of the season’s style with gorgeous prizes for both Ladies and Gentlemen takes place on Saturday.  Compered by tv personality and fashion stylist Marietta Doranthe winning lady will walk away with a beautiful pendant worth €2,500 from Weir & Sons whilst the most stylish gentleman will enjoy a bespoke made-to-measure experience from Louis Copeland!

A new addition to the day’s line up “Artist of the Curragh” sees several local artists painting a race day scene hoping to win a €1500 commission from the Curragh for 2025.  This will be judged by artist-in-residence, John Fitzgerald.

There is a great line up of entertainment for children including the Goffs Mini Millions track race for 3 to 7 year olds with the lucky winner ‘driving off’ in a fantastic Bobby Benz kindly provided by Fitzpatrick’s Mercedes Benz with goody bags for the runners-up!  The race will take place before 3pm so make sure to be there!

On Sunday, the “Friends of the Curragh” Irish Cesarewitch will take centre stage as Europe’s most valuable handicap and will again play host to one of the Curragh’s many charity initiatives as local publicans get involved to share a total charitable fund from the Curragh of €5,000. The race which is intended to go to post with a full field of 30 horses, will see each horse drawn with a local pub.

The first four horses home will win a share of the €5000 fund with winning pubs choosing local charities or sports clubs to share the spoils. O’Rourke’s Bar in Newbridge won the initiative last year.  The annual Irish Pony Club exhibition ride will take place after the last race on Sunday.

Amazing action on the track is matched by some amazing fun off it!  Throughout Autumn Racing Weekend at the Curragh Racecourse, you can experience a different form of horsepower! Take a ride in the Fitzpatricks’ Mercedes-Benz Formula 1 simulator and see what heart stopping speeds you can reach.

And for those who prefer a gentler pace, enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the Goffs Champagne Bar. Or wander around the racecourse, enjoy a glass of rosé at our Whispering Angel Garden Bar and simply take it all in. Enjoy live music with roaming musicians, DJ Lance West and much more!

A perfect weekend to gather your friends together and enjoy all that the Curragh has to offer.
