Man killed in semi crash involving a train east of Biggar, Sask.

A Thursday crash between a semi and a train on a rural road east of Biggar is under investigation.

A 57-year-old man is dead after a semi and a CP train collided east of Biggar on Thursday evening.

Around 7:15 p.m., Biggar RCMP officers arrived at the crash scene at Range Road 3134, about one kilometre south of Highway 4 near Biggar, a Thursday news release said.

Biggar is about 97 kilometres west of Saskatoon.

Emergency personnel, including EMS and firefighters, were also called to the scene.
