In terms of English cities, snow is most likely to fall on Christmas Day in Newcastle with odds of 7/4. It suggests snow is more likely to fall in Scotland and the north of England. However, with odds of only evens in Aberdeen, it's far from a certainty there will be any snow this Christmas.
It appears to be less likely further south with Manchester and Liverpool both given odds of 5/1 and Birmingham 8/1. Cardiff, London and Bristol have even longer odds at 10/1.
A spokesperson said: “We’ve looked at the odds and probability of snow falling this year and certain cities having a White Christmas. Aberdeen looks very likely and is priced at evens.
“Glasgow and Edinburgh aren’t that far behind at 5/4 and over in Ireland; we’ve put Belfast at 3/1, and Dublin, 6/1. We’ve also priced New York at 7/1 and Paris, 12/1.”
