Met Office gives exact three locations where UK faces snow from Saturday
by James Rodger, https://www.facebook.com/jamesrodgerjournalist · Birmingham LiveThe Met Office has given the exact locations where the UK will see wintry weather. Alex Deakin, a Met Office meteorologist, said around 4cm of snow will fall across three hours on Saturday afternoon across the Scottish Highlands, parts of Aberdeenshire and some parts of Stirling.
He added: "It is only really across Scotland... Obviously, it wouldn't take much of a swing and for that air to be a bit colder when that air comes in for snow to be seen at lower levels, but at this stage it is looks like it is just going to be snow on the hills in Scotland."
Speaking out on YouTube, Mr Deakin - who is a reliable forecaster from the Met Office - went on and said: "Because it has been so mild, it really would be noticeable that we'll see that drop in temperatures... After that (Saturday), the uncertainty grows."

Giving his own verdict, Exacta Weather forecaster James Madden said: "There is now likely to be quite a lot of snow warnings in place from this weekend and throughout much of next week, and large parts of the country will certainly experience some form of wintry weather or snow during next week, particularly in some parts of northern, eastern, central, and southern parts of the country later in this given period (heavy snow)."
Mr Madden said: "Additionally, our 125+ days ahead subscribers and follow-up forecasts for late November also opted for a high-confidence cold and wintry period for this exact period of November with snow in parts much further south than normal, and after all the expected high pressure rises on our part in the earlier part of the same autumn report for September to November + the earlier stormy periods for the exact dates in September and October."
He signed off yesterday (November 13) by saying: "Enjoy, everyone!"
