With December and Christmas still weeks away, the UK looks braced to be hit by its worst weather of the winter so far within just days.

With November progressing, there are fresh reports of a downturn in weather which could result in a teeth-chattering cold snap for the country.

Reports suggest as much as 18 inches of the white stuff could hammer the country, with around November 20 to November 23 earmarked as potential dates.

As we head towards mid November and December and eventually Christmas, snowfall is set to hammer the country as temperatures plunge.
