Doctor fatally stabbed at clinic opposite Magway General Hospital

A fatal stabbing occurred at a clinic opposite Magway General Hospital on the evening of November 21, around 5 pm, resulting ion the death of senior doctor Dr. Moh Moh Sein.

The incident took place at the Sein clinic, located on the west side of the hospital road near the corner of Pyitawthar and Hospital Roads in Magway. According to initial reports, a man approximately 29 years old, entered the clinic and attacked the doctor, a specialist in the venereal disease prevention, with a knife.

Around that time, the doctor ran out of the clinic, shouting for help. Blood was gushing from her neck, and she appeared to be pressing her stomach with one hand, suggesting injuries there as well. The attacker tried to start his motorbike parked in front of the clinic but eventually fled on foot. Local residents chased and managed to catch him,” said an eyewitness.

Following the attack, the suspect fled towards a narrow alley between Streets 17 and 18 in Ywarthit ward, on the left side of Pyitawthar Road. However nearby residents apprehended him and handed him over, along with his motorbike, to Magway Police Station, according to sources.
