Wildfire sparks in Penticton

Castanet received multiple news tips and photos of smoke billowing from the mountainside just before 3:30 p.m.
One photo sent in from a Castanet reader at the Penticton Golf and Country Club shows smoke billowing on the west side of the city, with Facebook users saying it appears to be in the West Bench area of town.
Castanet has reached out to the Penticton Fire Department and BC Wildfire Services for more information.
