Search and rescue volunteers helped rescue a paraglider who had crashed on Blue Grouse Mountain Friday morning.

Central Okanagan Search and Rescue responded to the area off Westside Road Friday morning after receiving reports of the crashed paraglider. A paragliding launch area is located on the east side of Blue Grouse Mountain.

Volunteers with COSAR assisted paramedics at the scene, on the side of the mountain, until Penticton Search and Rescue's helicopter long-line rescue time arrived and took the injured person to an ambulance.

In a Facebook post, COSAR did not provide details about the injuries the person suffered in the crash.
