The UK’s In-Orbit Servicing, Assembly and Manufacturing (ISAM) Conference for 2025 will take place in Belfast.

Following the success of the inaugural conference in 2024, next year’s iteration will be at the ICC Belfast conference venue, in the centre of the city (BT1 3WH). The space event will run 4-6 June 2025.

It aims to bring together international experts, industry leaders, and professionals from both space and non-space sectors. This will be to explore the opportunities within the ISAM area.

ISAM 2025 will include an expanded exhibition area, interactive roundtables, and networking opportunities, and opportunities for academic posters.

“Our modern society is increasingly reliant on satellite technology, but we know the Earth’s orbits are more crowded than ever before,” said Dr Paul Bate, CEO of UK Space Agency. “In-orbit servicing, assembly and manufacturing are high-growth areas which independent research suggests presents an £11 billion market opportunity for the global space sector.”

“Following a highly successful inaugural event earlier this year, we’re looking forward to the expanded 2025 conference and cementing the UK’s crucial role in progressing these valuable space capabilities. We hope to welcome attendees from across the world, share new ideas and strengthen the collaborations needed to realise the full economic, environmental, and scientific benefits of ISAM.”

In 2023 Belfast hosted the UK Space Conference, which was also at the ICC.

The ESA conference facility in Harwell, Oxfordshire, was the venue for ISAM 2024.
