‘Karuthalum Kaithangum’ adalat resolves public grievances
Adalat considered 549 complaints and distributed 20 title deeds

Rajan inaugurated the ‘Karuthalum Kaithangum’ grievance redressal adalat of the Thrissur Taluk, held in connection with the celebration of the State government’s fourth anniversary, at the Thrissur Town Hall on Tuesday. The adalat considered 549 complaints and distributed 20 title deeds. Social Justice and Higher Education Minister Dr. R. Bindu presided over the proceedings.
Minister K. Rajan assured that most complaints brought to the adalat would be resolved on-site. He said that unresolved issues at the district level would be tackled through cabinet decisions or by relevant departments, and, if necessary, even through legislative amendments. The government’s goal is to ensure that all citizens have access to benefits through various accessible channels, he reiterated.
With the State’s transition to e-office systems, complaints from village, panchayat, and corporation offices are now digitised and quickly processed online, making the resolution process faster, the Minister said.
In her speech, Minister R. Bindu highlighted that Kerala, ranked top among country’s States with the highest happiness index, would continue to lead with such rapid public service reforms.
At the event, a wheelchair was presented to six-year-old Ambadi, who faces physical and mental challenges, by Ministers K. Rajan and R. Bindu, with the Lions Club of Thrissur providing the support. Additionally, 20 land deeds were distributed.
During the adalat, 549 complaints were reviewed, with 303 submitted online and 246 in person. The Ministers personally heard 222 complaints. Various departmental officials were tasked with immediate action on all complaints.
As part of the event, 21 new ration cards were distributed. Land deeds were issued to residents of Navajyothi Nagar and Shanthinagar in Ollur.
