Collector inspects new vegetable market complex

The District Collector K.M. Sarayu inspected the progress on the construction of the daily vegetable market complex at the new bus stand complex in Krishnagiri on Wednesday.

The complex will be built at ₹1.10 crore under the Kalaignar Urban Development Scheme and will have 77 shops. Inspecting the quality of the buildings, Ms. Sarayu instructed the implementing body to ensure structural quality and also expedite the works so that it is completed within the estimated deadline.

Further, the Collector inspected the water treatment plant in the bus stand, commuters shelter, public toilets, and sanitation. She also checked the quality of the food sold in stalls at the bus stand and instructed the vendors to use quality materials and unadulterated ingredients.
