Air ambulance lands as second pedestrian hit by vehicle on same road in a week

Police closed off a Tameside road while an air ambulance landed nearby after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle. Emergency services were called out to Cheetham Hill Road, in Dukinfield, shortly after 2pm today (November 20).

North West Ambulance Service confirmed it was called out to a collision involving a pedestrian. Two ambulances, a response vehicle and an air ambulance were all sent out to the scene.

The patient was taken to hospital for further treatment. Their condition and further details are yet to be confirmed.

It's the second time someone has been struck by a vehicle on the same road in the past week. Emergency services descended after a woman was hit by a vehicle last Friday at around 5pm.

She was also taken to hospital for treatment. Greater Manchester Police has been approached for further details.
