Storm Bert aftermath - Full list of Midlands flood warnings
by Kelly Ashmore, https://www.facebook.com/theblackcountrylive/ · Birmingham LiveFlood alerts remained in place across the Midlands after Storm Bert battered the UK. The region was hit with torrential downpours and strong winds over the weekend.
Several busy roads became impassable as a result of the heavy rainfall, with some drivers getting stranded. After West Midlands Fire Service came to the aid of driver in Bloxwich, crews warned: “Remember, 30cm of water is enough to move a car. Do not drive through flood water.”
Rising river levels also prompted the Environment Agency to issue more than 200 flood alerts country-wide. The agency has warned there was further risk of flooding across parts of Birmingham, Worcestershire, Staffordshire, Shropshire and the Black Country on Monday, November 25.

The Met Office said Storm Bert would "finally clear" from the far northeast early on Tuesday, November 26. Although it said there was a risk of some further rain and strong winds across the south of the UK on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
