Strong cyclone to cause scattered rain across Myanmar from November 28 to 30
The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) has issued a warning about a strong cyclone expected to bring scattered rains to most regions and states of Myanmar from November 28 to 30. The cyclone, a deep depression forming in the southwestern Bay of Bengal, is currently stationary, located about 730 nautical miles west-southwest of Coco Island, Myanmar, and 265 nautical miles south-southeast of Chennai, India. The system has a central pressure of 999 hectopascals and winds reaching 35 to 40 miles per hour.
