The victims and suspect were unknown to each other, and CPS believes the attacks were both random in nature

Calgary police have arrested a man for two separate stabbing incidents last month in the downtown — one of which left the victim with life-threatening injuries.

The charges relate to an incident on Sept. 8, when police were called to Century Gardens Park in the 800 block of 8th Street S.W., for a reported stabbing at approximately 9:30 p.m. According to a Calgary Police Service news release Thursday, the suspect fled on foot, while the victim was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition.
