Families facing uncertainty after being forced from their homes by an explosion and fire at a northeast townhouse complex hope an investigation into the cause brings answers.

Late Saturday night, the explosion and subsequent flames scorched several residences in Las Americas Villas in northeast Calgary, with some Monterey Park residents saying the blast could be heard several blocks away.
