Man arrested following alleged shootout with police in Old Harbour
· The GleanerThe Old Harbour police in St Catherine on Friday arrested a man who was among men who allegedly engaged cops in a shooting during an operation to recover a stolen car.
The police say a loaded Browning pistol was seized in the incident.
It is reported that about 5:00 p.m. the police in Old Harbour spotted a Honda Stream motor car which was reported stolen in May Pen, Clarendon.
The vehicle was intercepted along Old Harbour Road.
Upon reaching the Nightingale Grove community, the vehicle crashed into a ditch.

Occupants reportedly exited the car and fired shots at the police.
No one was hit.
A male occupant of the vehicle was held.
The Old Harbour Criminal Investigation Branch is probing in the matter.
