BGLC supports education with annual donation of Children’s Own to St Jude’s Primary

The Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission (BGLC) has continued its commitment to community development and educational support with its annual donation of The Gleaner’s Children’s Own to St Jude’s Primary School.

St Jude’s is located on Norwich Ave in the Waltham Park area of Kingston.

This year, the BGLC will distribute a total of 8,700 copies of the popular children’s newspaper to the school.

The distribution, which began in September 2024, will see 300 copies delivered weekly for 29 weeks, ensuring that students have access to valuable reading material throughout the school year, which concludes in June 2025.

“Education remains a top priority for us, and supporting schools in and around the community is one of the many ways we contribute to the development of young minds,” said Wendy Robertson, corporate affairs and communication manager at the BGLC.
