Two guns seized along Glen Road in St Andrew

The Hunts Bay police in St Andrew seized two firearms along Glen Road on Saturday night.

The weapons, an AK47 with an empty magazine and a Taurus pistol with five rounds, were seized during an operation carried out about 10:45 p.m.

The Glen Road community has seen a flare up of violence in recent times with three murders from two separate but connected shooting incidents last week.

The St Andrew South police are reportedly monitoring the area closely.
