Liko 'Niko' Maxwell, one of St James' most wanted men and previously featured in the Jamaica Constabulary Force's Wanted Wednesday campaign, was arrested during a police operation early Friday morning.

The operation, in the Garland district, also led to the seizure of a firearm and ammunition.

According to the Montego Bay Police, during a search of a property around 3:30 a.m., officers found Maxwell with a Girsan Rigard pistol with a magazine loaded with seventeen 9mm rounds in a bedroom.

A woman at the location was also taken into custody.

Superintendent Eron Samuels, head of the St James police division, urged residents to cooperate with law enforcement to aid in restoring public safety.
