Trump supporters descend after witnessing assassination attempt

Incredible footage shows crowds of Americans assembling in Pennsylvania as GOP nominee Donald Trump prepares to speak at the site of his attempted assassination. 

The former president will triumphantly taking the stage today at the Butler Farm Show grounds as many of his loyal followers joyously came together to watch his address. 

Video showed throngs of people decked in pro-Trump merchandise gathering around a stage as an American flag waved in the air. 

Dan Scavino Jr, Senior Advisor and Trump supporter, who shot the video aboard Trump Force One captioned: 'WOW! Take a look from Trump Force One—flying over Butler, Pennsylvania. Let’s do this!'

Just minutes after Trump started speaking at the venue on July 13, gunman Thomas Crooks unleashed a hail of bullets, one of which grazed Trump on the right ear. 

After the shooting, the 78-year-old pumped his fist and beseeched supporters to 'fight' as blood streaked his face.

In announcing his return to Butler, the Republican nominee said he planned to 'celebrate a unifying vision for America’s future in an event like the world has never seen before.' 

The assassination attempt has since resonated deeply in the mountainous community north of Pittsburgh. 

'The Return to Butler,' 'Let Me Get My Shoes,' 'Cats, Dogs for Trump,' and 'I Was There' are just a few of the slogans featured on shirts the attendees are wearing.

Greg Smith fired up his grills and started cooking outside the property of Brenckle's Farms & Greenhouses, just as he did that day in July with family and friends.

'I saw Secret Service blow his head off,' he told DailyMail.com at the time.

But today, Smith is not interested in talking to the press and instead looking forward to eating and drinking and spending time with family and friends.

His father-in-law Gary Brenckle told DailyMail.com that he was feeling positive about returning to the site for the rally.

Secret Service sets up 'Fortress Trump' as Republican returns to Butler

'I feel good, I feel like they got enough police around,' he said, and added with a chuckle, 'Hopefully they went through al the buildings and everything and looking at the top and getting inside too.'

The business was decorated with pumpkins, skeletons, and Halloween themed items.

'This is so much better, I just love this time of year,' he said.

Pam Olthof a Trump-themed vendor who was near the rally in July was also back, selling a completely updated slate of merchandise.

She said she had to come back despite the shock from the experience of the last rally.

When Parker first heard about that Trump was coming back there he made it very clear he wanted to go back.

'He bugged me until I got online and registered,' Michael said. 'No hesitation.'

'I brought him to see a president and be a part of history, I didn't think we were going to be that part of history,' he said.

A former serviceman in the military, he recalled hearing gunshots at the rally in July.

'After the first two pops I knew what they were, I grabbed my son and yelled 'Get the f down, that's the military instinct in me.'

Michael said he was disappointed after that experience to hear people who hate trump to express their regret that the shooter missed.

'People wanted this to happen I don't understand why they feel that way,'

He admitted that if they hadn't stopped for chili-cheese fries that day in July, they probably would have been in the bleachers where people were hit by the bullets.

So just like last time, they arrived for the rally and got in line for some food. When asked what he was going to order, he grinned and said, 'Chili-cheese fries.' 

Trump has invited dozens of special guests including relatives of Corey Comperatore, to whom he will pay tribute.

Also there will be Elon Musk, who will be making his first public appearance at a campaign event for the former president since endorsing him soon after the assassination attempt.
