Northumbria Police officer sacked over 'rape fantasy' messages and sending picture of genitals on duty

by · ChronicleLive

A police officer who admitted being attracted to underage girls and told of his belief women wanted to be raped, in shocking messages, has been sacked.

PC Blake Payne-Humphries also took a picture of his penis while on duty at a police station in Sunderland, and sent it to a female colleague, a misconduct hearing heard. In other messages the officer also told of his desire to raise a transgender child so he could "sexually abuse" them.

Now PC Payne-Humphries has been sacked by Northumbria Police, and barred from becoming an officer with another force, after he was found guilty of gross misconduct.

The hearing heard how on September 1, 2022, PC Payne-Humphries sent a picture of his exposed genitals to a woman, referred to as Person A. Evidence from the picture file revealed it was taken in Sunderland's Southwick Police station the same day, at a time when the officer was on duty. The picture showed it was taken in the toilets at the station, and the officer was wearing his uniform.

On the same day PC Payne-Humphries, sent messages to the same person in which he discussed his attraction to girls under the legal age of consent and expressed his belief that some women wanted to be raped, before going on to discuss his rape fantasies.

In one message, he said: "I’d say I spoke to like two other girls properly before you and obviously one since you and all of you want to be raped”.

Then on September 5, at just after 4.30am, the officer, who had only worked for the force for six months at the time, exchanged messages with the same woman talking about his interest in raising a transgender child and sexually abusing them.

The hearing heard PC Payne-Humphries did not refute the allegations or give any explanation when interviewed about the alleged misconduct. The allegations were found to be proven, and the hearing heard they amounted to gross misconduct. It was said that PC Payne Humphries had demonstrated "predatory behaviour" and that his messages were "shocking messages for anyone to send and even more so when they were sent by a serving police officer."

PC Payne-Humphries was dismissed without notice and his name was added to the police barring list.
