Police probe after burglary at South Tyneside school with equipment stolen

Police enquiries are ongoing after a school in Hebburn was reportedly burgled last week.

Keelman's Way School, which teaches children from the ages of 2-19, was reportedly burgled last week, with damage caused to the property.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "Shortly after 11.05pm on Wednesday, October 16, we were alerted to a report of burglary at a premises on Campbell Park Road in Jarrow.

"It was reported that unknown offenders had forced entry to the property earlier that evening, causing damage to a window pane.

"They have then caused damage to a television inside, and taken computer equipment, before leaving the area.

"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information can send us a direct message on social media, or use live chat and report forms on our website.

"Please quote crime number: 122494L/24. Those unable to make contact in these ways can call 101."
