Parents pay tribute to man killed in crash between car and lorry in County Durham
by Daniel Hall · ChronicleLiveThe parents of a man who died in a crash between a car and a lorry in County Durham have paid tribute to their son.
Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle collision involving a lorry and a Vauxhall Corsa on the A167 in Croxdale, near the Honest Lawyer Hotel, on Friday morning. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, Stephen Taylor, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Stephen's parents released a statement paying tribute to him today. It read: "Stephen was loved by all.
"He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and neighbours. We would like to thank everyone for their support and ask to be left so that we can grieve in peace."
Durham Constabulary are carrying out enquiries into the collision and say they are particularly keen to speak to anyone with dashcam footage of the incident.
The force has asked anyone with information to contact their Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01325 742 745, quoting incident number 122 of November 15.
