North East Ambulance Service took one person to hospital following the crash
by Adam Foster · ChronicleLiveOne person has been taken to hospital following a crash on the A189 Jesmond Dene Road in Newcastle.
The crash near to the Blue House Roundabout was first reported at 4.06pm on Friday, with the road closed in both directions while Northumbria Police and North East Ambulance Service paramedics were on the scene.
It has now been confirmed one person was taken to hospital for treatment.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision near Blue House Roundabout at 4.13pm today (October 18).
"We dispatched one ambulance crew and a specialist paramedic, and transported one patient to the Royal Victoria Infirmary for further treatment."
The road reopened just after 7pm.
Northumbria Police were contacted for comment.
