PM Modi arrives in Delhi after concluding three-day US visit, Shah hails India's diplomacy in UN | VIDEO

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday, after concluding his three-day visit visit to the United States.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday, after concluding his three-day visit visit to the United States. During his visit, he attended the QUAD Leaders' Summit and the Summit of the Future (SOTF) at the United Nations in New York. Along with that, he held some key bilateral meetings.

During his visit, PM Modi attended the Joe-Biden Quad Leaders’ meeting in Wilmington, Delaware on Saturday which was attended by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese of Australia, and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida of Japan. In a rare gesture, President Biden also hosted Modi for a bilateral meeting in his home, and the Quad summit was held at the Archmere Academy in Wilmington.

JP Nadda praises PM Modi's visit

Heaping praise on the Prime Minister over his three-day visit to the US, Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda said on Tuesday that the visit has been important and substantial in terms of scale and its outcomes. In a recorded video, Nadda said, "It has made every Indian proud that President Biden hosted PM Modi at his residence in Delaware. This continued engagement between leaders of the oldest, largest democracies in the world is great for global peace and well-being. The meeting has led to rich outcomes in diverse fields, from trade to culture, greatly benefiting the people of our nation. The QUAD meeting too has been a moment of immense joy because it reflects how nations with shared values can come together and mitigate key challenges the Earth faces. PM Modi's own efforts to make the QUAD more meaningful have been duly noted by other QUAD leaders too."

Amit Shah says "PM Modi solidified Modi's doctrine of diplomacy"

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also congratulated PM Modi on his successful US visit, stating it has further solidified the 'Modi doctrine of diplomacy,' which has positioned Bharat as a global leader over the past decade. 'Congratulations to PM Shri @narendramodi Ji on the successful three-day tour to the United States of America,' Shah wrote on X. 'The tour strengthens the Modi doctrine of diplomacy, establishing Bharat as a global changemaker and leader in sustainable development,' he added.

Highlights of PM Modi's US visit

During their meeting, US President Biden welcomed the progress made towards India sealing procurement of 31 long-endurance MQ-9B armed drones from American defence major General Atomics, as he and Prime Minister Modi vowed to boost reciprocal supply of military hardware between the two sides.

A very special feature of the bilateral meeting was the return of 297 antiquities to India, a few of which were on display at Biden’s residence during the meeting.

PM Modi also held bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Australia and Japan on the sidelines of the summit and exchanged views to deepen bilateral cooperation further for mutual benefits and the 'peace, stability, and prosperity' of the Indo-Pacific region.

At the Quad Summit, PM Modi highlighted India’s approach to cooperation, contact and engagement for growth with a variety of partners in the Indo-Pacific. Also, during the summit, the leaders announced the Quad Cancer Moonshot, a groundbreaking partnership to save lives in the Indo-Pacific region. India also pledged USD 7.5 million to combat cervical cancer in the Indo-Pacific region.

After attending the Quad meeting in Wilmington, the Prime Minister departed for New York on Saturday for the second leg of his visit, where he attended the Indian community event at Long Island and later addressed the United Nations General Assembly on Day 3.
