Blue light goes missing as fire crews rush to crash in Brixham
by Toby Codd · DevonLiveA blue light went missing as fire crews rushed to the scene of a crash in Brixham. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5.45pm yesterday evening (Wednesday, November 20).
Pictures show that a car crashed into a wall and a cordon was put in place. The fire service said that a person was trapped inside the vehicle.
The casualty was safely rescued and taken into the care of paramedics. However, during this time a blue flashing light went missing from a nearby fire station.
Brixham Fire Station is now appealing to the public to help find the light. The fire service are also warning drivers to be careful on the roads as snow hits Devon today (November 21).
Brixham Fire Station said in a post on Facebook yesterday evening: "Tonight at 17:45 we attended reports of an RTC within Brixham, with a person trapped. We stabilised and made the vehicle safe for paramedics who were already in attendance.
"We then assisted them to carefully move the casualty by hand to a stretcher. This was not believed to be weather related but a good reminder to all with the snow and ice forecast to take extra care.
"Whilst we were on scene managing the road closure a neighbouring station had a blue flashing light we use for road safety go missing. If one like the one shown in the pictures above is located please return to Brixham station or message us directly."
