During the meeting, Maj-Gen Toe Yi emphasized Myanmar’s ongoing efforts to identify and deport foreign nationals who have entered the country illegally, especially those involved in online fraud schemes. He highlighted that these actions are being carried out in accordance with the law and with respect for humanitarian principles.

He also mentioned that, from January 2022 to November 2024, Myanmar had located and deported 1,242 foreign nationals who were facing difficult circumstances.
