PNA conducts military training with over 20,000 troops in Yankin Military Region, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone

The Pa-O National Army (PNA) conducted military training on September 30 in the Yankin Military Region, located in the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, Special Region (6), Southern Shan State, with over 20,000 troops, according to a report by the PNA.

During the ceremony of the basic military education course run by the Pa-O National Army (PNA) in the Yankin Military Region, more than 20,000 soldiers participated in the ceremony. PNA Deputy Chairman of the Military Committee, U Peter Htun Naing, the PNA Deputy Chief, U Nay Win Htun, the PNA Secretary, U Khun Thein Phay and senior local community leaders, and people attended.

On August 21, it is reported that the No.1 military training ceremony of the PNA was held in Pinlaung Township, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone for local defense and security, and about 10,000 people attended.

The PNO/PNA has governed Special Region (6) in Southern Shan State since reaching a peace agreement with the Tatmadaw in 1991.
