A fire broke out at the Inle Princess Resort in Magyisin village, located on the eastern side of Inle Lake in Nyaung Shwe Township, Southern Shan State, at around 7:00 pm. on November 15.

Residents from nearby villages alerted authorities, and locals, along with the Nangpan Fire Department, managed to extinguish the fire by 8:30 pm. The cause of the fire is under investigation, though some have speculated that it might have been caused by a falling balloon that landed on the hotel dining hall.

The resort, built with wooden structures painted with oil, had experienced a similar fire incident eight years ago. However, authorities have yet to confirm the cause of the recent blaze. Investigations are ongoing.
