Relief as gardai find missing teen who disappeared over a year ago
by Anita McSorley · Irish MirrorA Waterford teenager who had been missing for more than a year and a half has been found, gardai have confirmed.
The search for 19-year-old Tobiasz Rogolski, which spanned 20 months, has finally come to an end.
Tobiasz was last seen in Waterford city on March 14, 2023, when he was just 17-years-old. His disappearance prompted a Garda missing persons appeal two weeks later, where he was described as 6'1" tall, with a slight build, black hair and blue eyes.
While he initially disappeared from Waterford, gardai added that they believed the young man may have been in the Cork city area and asked the public to keep an eye out for him. At the time, the appeal was shared widely across social media.

In an update yesterday, gardai confirmed that the missing persons appeal has been stood down as Tobiasz has been located. He is now 19-years-old.
In a statement, officers thanked the public for their help, saying: "Tobiasz Rogolski (19) who was reported missing from Waterford city on Tuesday 14th March 2023 has been located. Gardai would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance."
