Two men killed and two elderly people seriously injured following horror road collision in Donegal

Two men have been killed and a man and woman in their 70s have been seriously injured following a road collision in Co Donegal.

The two-vehicle collision happened on the N15 in the village of Liscooley in the east of the county just after 10pm on Friday evening.

The two male occupants, both in their 30s, from one of these cars were fatally injured in the collision.

A woman and a man, both 70s, from the second vehicle were taken to Letterkenny Hospital for treatment, where their injuries are described as 'serious.

A second woman, who is in her 30s, was treated for non-life threatening injuries following the collision.

The road remains closed this morning pending a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Gardaí are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area at the time of the collision to make this footage available to Gardaí.
