Three people 'threatened with gun' outside Dublin pub over weekend

Gardaí have launched a witness appeal after three people were allegedly threatened with a suspected firearm outside a Dublin pub over the weekend.

At approximately 10pm on Saturday, Gardaí responded to reports of a male armed with a firearm threatening three individuals during a public order incident outside a licensed premises on Main Street in Rathcoole, Dublin.

On arrival of Gardaí, those involved had left the immediate area and no firearm was recovered. It is understood that no shots were fired and there were no reports of injuries.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí in Clondalkin are seeking witnesses following a public order incident involving a suspected firearm in Rathcoole on Saturday, 28 September”.

They added: “They are also asking anyone with camera footage, including dashcam recordings from Main Street, Rathcoole, between 9:30pm and 10:30pm, on Saturday 28 September, to contact them.

“Anyone with information is urged to contact Clondalkin Garda Station at 01 666 7600, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”
