Avalanche reported in Southern Alps
· RNZAn avalanche has been reported in the Arrowsmith Range area of the Southern Alps.
Police and Martime NZ's Rescue Coordination Centre are coordinating a response
A four-person GCH Aviation helicopter crew is on the ground.
It was reported to the RCC at about 12.25pm.
Police and St John have been contacted for comment.
