Forty firefighters battle blaze in central Auckland
· RNZAn investigation has been launched at Ports of Auckland after a fire broke out on a crane late on Thursday.
A Port of Auckland spokesperson said there was a small fire about 9.15pm on a crane that had been undergoing maintenance.
No one was on the crane at the time and there were no injuries, they said.
About 40 firefighters battled the blaze into the early hours of Friday morning.
