Moutere Highway closed after collision between car and pedestrian in Tasman

The Moutere Highway in Tasman is closed after a collision between a pedestrian and a car.

Emergency services were called to the scene, between Sunrise Valley Road and Supplejack Valley Road, about 4pm on Monday.

Police said initial indications were that the pedestrian had critical injuries.

Motorists were advised to expect delays and late Monday afternoon police said the road was likely to be closed for some time and diversions were being put in place.
