Teen arrested after central Auckland stabbing

A teenager has been arrested in central Auckland after an early-morning stabbing. 

Emergency services were called to Quay St about 1am, where police arrested a 17-year-old male.

The victim was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The accused was expected to appear in Auckland District Court today charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
