Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced a major recruitment drive in the health and education sectors, reiterating his government’s commitment to creating opportunities for the youth. Speaking at an event where appointment letters were distributed to newly hired recruits, Mann highlighted that his administration has already facilitated nearly 50,000 government jobs.

Mann emphasised that the recruitment drive aims to provide fresh avenues for young individuals to contribute to Punjab's socio-economic growth.

He added that the government is also exploring ways to accommodate individuals who exceeded the maximum age limit for jobs during their period of agitation for employment.

The chief minister encouraged the youth to focus on hard work, noting that success has no shortcuts. He reaffirmed his government’s dedication to ensuring the well-being of young citizens by offering new employment opportunities based on merit.

Mann expressed pride in the fact that 50,000 positions have already been filled through transparent and merit-based selection processes. He also urged the newly recruited candidates to prioritise public welfare and assist those in need to ensure inclusive societal growth.

In addition to job creation, Mann underlined his vision to make Punjab a hub for medical education. He shared updates on the construction of medical colleges in SAS Nagar (Mohali), Kapurthala, Sangrur, Hoshiarpur, and Malerkotla, which are expected to enhance healthcare education and services in the state.

The chief minister also announced the establishment of training centres to prepare students for competitive examinations, further expanding opportunities for the youth of Punjab.
