Three schools from India were awarded the title of World’s Best School Prizes 2024. This marks a breakthrough year, with Ryan International School in Delhi, CM RISE School Vinoba in Madhya Pradesh, and Kalvi International Public School in Tamil Nadu emerging victorious in different prize categories.

Each of these schools has earned accolades for its unique approach to education, innovation, and community engagement.

Delhi’s Ryan International School received the World’s Best School Prize for Environmental Action. Known for its green initiatives like hydroponics and biogas plants, the school has been proactive in addressing issues like water scarcity and pollution.

With its $10,000 prize money, Ryan plans to expand its sustainable projects and even launch a start-up incubator to encourage student-led environmental initiatives.

"We are immensely thrilled that our Ryan International School, Vasant Kunj, has been crowned as the World Champion for Environmental Action in 2024,” shared Grace Pinto, Managing Director.

"We thank our Lord Jesus Christ for this great honour and are grateful to T4 Education for recognising our efforts," he added.

Madhya Pradesh’s CM RISE School Vinoba clinched the title in the Innovation category. Originally founded as a school for tribal girls in an urban slum, CM RISE has grown into a full-fledged kindergarten-to-secondary school. Its mission focuses on empowering marginalised communities through progressive education, making it a standout in the competition.

In the Community Choice Award category, Kalvi International Public School in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, emerged victorious, chosen from a shortlist of 50 schools. This recognition highlights Kalvi’s commitment to community engagement, uplifting local communities through targeted educational initiatives.

As a nation, India’s three-pronged victory has underscored the country’s global standing in progressive education.

"For India to have not one but three schools triumph shows that the nation’s institutions truly stand among the best in the world," said Vikas Pota, Founder of T4 Education. He expressed hope that these schools inspire governments to see what is possible when education strives to address society’s biggest challenges.
