Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and MLA Manish Sisodia emphasised the importance of meditation during an interaction with government school teachers on Wednesday. The event took place as part of the Happiness Programme in Patparganj. Sisodia highlighted India's rich heritage as the birthplace of meditation, urging the country to take pride in this legacy.

The former Deputy Chief Minister's remarks were shared in an official statement, underscoring the role of meditation in enhancing well-being among students and teachers alike.

"This is India's future. These children will tell their teachers that they are working at Google or doing their own business in the future. Therefore, it is crucial to strengthen the foundation of these children," Sisodia was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.

Manish Sisodia urged teachers to incorporate five minutes of mindfulness into their daily routines with students, stating that it would help ease the process of teaching other subjects.

He underscored the scientifically backed benefits of mindfulness, noting its power to calm the mind and foster deeper connections among individuals, as mentioned in the official statement.
