CBSE Board Exam 2025: Practical exam schedule for winter-bound schools announced

Schools will be held from November 5-December 5, 2024 as these schools will be closed during January due to winter season.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the practical examination schedule for the 2024-25 academic session. While most affiliated schools in India and abroad will conduct their practical exams in January 2025, schools in winter-bound regions will hold theirs earlier, from November 5 to December 5, 2024, due to winter closures.

According to an official notification, "As per the Examination Bye-Laws/Scheme of Studies, practical exams, projects, and internal assessments for the 2024-25 session will begin on January 1, 2025, for most schools. However, these exams will take place for winter-bound schools from November 5, 2024, to December 5, 2024."

SOPs for Winter-Bound Schools:

• Schools must finalise their candidate lists and ensure only registered students appear for the practicals.
• Schools should coordinate with their Regional Office to appoint external examiners and observers.
• Practical exams and assessments must be completed in time, and answer books should be dispatched to the regional offices promptly.
