A child was rushed to hospital after being hit by a van in north Bristol this morning (Saturday, October 19). At 9.18am, the ambulance service called Avon and Somerset Police to the scene on Crow Lane in Henbury.

Police confirmed a child was taken to hospital with injuries, adding these injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. The accident involved a van and a child, police said.

Police advised motorists to seek alternative routes as traffic built up. FirstBus posted on X (formerly Twitter) that a number of bus routes were diverted due to the accident.
