Police want to speak to this man after teenage girl sexually assaulted in South Bristol

The suspect made a sexual comment towards the victim and touched her inappropriately

An investigation has been launched after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted in South Bristol. The victim walked through Ashton Gate and Southville, along North Street, Dean Lane and Alpha Road, with an unknown man in close proximity to her at around 3pm on Thursday, August 29.

When the girl stopped, the man made a sexual comment towards her and touched her inappropriately, Avon and Somerset Police said. He carried on walking along Alpha Road, before heading off along Southville Place and St Johns Road when a member of the public pursued him.

Avon and Somerset Police have issued two photos of a man officers wish to speak to in connection with the incident. He is described as white, about 5ft 10ins, with light-coloured hair.

He’s seen wearing round sunglasses, a dark T-shirt and jeans, brown boots and in possession of a white tote bag. Anyone who recognises the man, witnessed what happened, or has experienced a similar incident in that area, is asked to please contact the force.
